Experience Requirements 2+ years of experience working as an MRI Technologist. Successful completion of an MRI clinical rotation during a formal education program. Licensure & Certifications ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI or ARRT registered in MRI. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification strongly preferred at time of hire; required within 3 months of hire. Skills & Responsibilities Perform all procedures proficiently and maintain high quality. Identify patients using two patient identifiers and communicate with patient and/or medical staff regarding MR safety questionnaire and pertinent clinical history. Prepare scan rooms using approved cleaning protocols, appropriately discard sharps, and maintain supplies and linen. Properly prepare and administer contrast materials for MRI procedures within scope of practice and approved protocols. Know and implement emergency procedures as needed. Perform department and hospital computer functions, enter and record data accurately and promptly. Perform quality control tasks associated with equipment and procedures to ensure standards are met. Provide clinical instruction to staff technologists and students, prepare staff schedules to ensure proper staffing, and coordinate daily workflow. #J-18808-Ljbffr
