Description Of Work

This position supports customer processing at the Driver License Center by checking identification, assisting with applications, and entering licensing information. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Greeting: Welcome customers and help them understand required steps for licensing services
• ID Verification: Review applicant identification to confirm authenticity and prevent fraud
• Test Administration: Give vision screenings and knowledge tests using approved tools and procedures
• Data Entry: Enter customer information, test results, and application details into online systems
• Service Guidance: Explain licensing options, REAL ID requirements, and related services
• Document Processing: Prepare letters, review forms, and ensure proper codes and procedures are used

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours/week
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel to other driver license centers may be required as necessary.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
