Job Description Summary
Assists the physician and office staff with performance of patient care activities consistent with the established standards of nursing practice. The incumbent in this position shall carry out his or her responsibilities and integrate into his or her work ethic the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life and the dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which he or she has responsibility. PAIN MANAGEMENT

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURIFULL TIME

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:High school diploma or equivalent.

• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

• Certification : BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

• Experience: One year of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation.

• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Knowledge of common outpatient procedures and equipment.

• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth.

• Demonstrates knowledge of varying differences and behaviors among populations served.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
