Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Access in Myrtle Beach, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access points, and respond to security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.36 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon08:45 AM - 05:15 PMWed08:45 AM - 05:15 PMThur08:45 AM - 05:15 PMFri08:45 AM - 05:15 PMSat08:45 AM - 02:15 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted areas, observe for unusual activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Maintain required documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, while complying with applicable armed post procedures. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience. Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Access control and badge experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
