Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Obtain and record initial assessments, establishing priorities based on patient age and needs.
• Systematically re-assess patients to identify progress and required interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established time frames.
• Make nursing decisions based on evaluation outcomes and modify care plans accordingly.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Implement and document timely interventions suited to patient needs.
• Coordinate and delegate unit work assignments to ensure completion of care activities.
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS and ACLS Certification via AHA required
• Experience in Cath lab, IR, and EP settings
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to patient age/type served
• Effective communication skills suitable for developmental age of patients
