Job Summary:

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician , you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining accurate patient records, and managing inventory. You will ensure that medications are dispensed in accordance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, providing essential support to enhance patient care and safety.

Job Requirement

• High school degree or equivalent, 18 years or older
• Registration with Ohio State board of pharmacy within 30 days of employment
• PTCB Certification or ability to get certified within 180 days of employment
• Maintain Continuing education (CE) according to state requirements.
• Retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations related to drug dispensing, including the proper handling of drug products, adherence to security protocols, and accurate completion of required documentation. This includes the secure control and dispensing of controlled substances.
• Expedite prescription processing by performing all necessary tasks within the scope of policy and legal guidelines.
• Serve as a liaison between the public and pharmacists, providing assistance and information as needed.
• Communicate with third-party providers to verify eligibility, secure prior authorizations, or resolve issues with rejected claims.
• Answer phone inquiries and assist customers at the counter or window promptly and professionally.
• Support purchasing activities and help maintain adequate inventory levels of medications and supplies.
