Tin Technology & Refining LLC is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Process Technician to join our production team in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with equipment, learning industrial processes, and contributing as part of a team. Prior metals or refining experience is not required. We’re looking for individuals with mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Position Snapshot

• Schedule:  Monday – Friday | 7AM to 3PM
• Location:  Onsite | West Chester, PA
• Position Type:  Full Time
• Position Classification:  Non-Exempt
• Pay Range: $20/hr - $25/hr
• Reports To:  Shift Supervisor

The Process Technician plays an important role in keeping our production operations safe, efficient, and reliable. Working directly with production equipment and materials, this position helps maintain process performance and product quality while identifying operational concerns and supporting the day-to-day needs of the facility.

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor production and process equipment in accordance with established procedures and operating parameters.
• Prepare, load, unload, transfer, process, sample, and handle raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Perform equipment startup, shutdown, changeover, and cleaning activities as trained and authorized.
• Monitor process conditions and equipment performance and identify and communicate abnormalities or operational concerns.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform basic troubleshooting and operational adjustments, and assist maintenance personnel as needed.
• Collect samples and perform production checks to support process control and product quality.
• Safely operate forklifts, material-handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, and other assigned equipment.
• Complete production logs, inspection records, checklists, and other required operational documentation.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while following established safety, environmental, quality, and operating requirements.
• Communicate production, process, and equipment information with appropriate team members and participate in required training and cross-training.

What You Bring

• Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, technical school, vocational training, or related industrial education is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, metals processing, industrial operations, or a similar environment is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial production processes and equipment.
  • Experience with industrial equipment, forklifts, hand tools, or power tools is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately complete required production documentation.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate equipment, process, safety, and quality concerns.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to successfully complete required safety, equipment, and job-specific training and certifications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
  Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, use arms and wrists, and perform grasping and repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to occasionally kneel, crouch, climb stairs and ladders, and walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing
    up to 100 pounds, with heavier physical demands occurring less frequently and with appropriate assistance or equipment as required.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and other industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work primarily indoors with regular exposure to industrial conditions, including heat, dust, and noise, and occasional outdoor and cold-weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform work requiring close, distant, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and comply with applicable safety requirements.
