Role Description The Title Examiner is a full-time, Hybrid role based in Allen, TX. This position is responsible for reviewing property records, deeds, liens, easements, and legal descriptions to determine clear title status and identify potential issues. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed title searches using public records and internal databases, analyzing chain of title, preparing title commitments and reports, and documenting findings clearly and accurately. The Title Examiner collaborates with escrow officers, closers, underwriters, and other team members to resolve title defects, obtain necessary documentation, and ensure transactions meet regulatory and company standards. The role also involves communicating professionally with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining organized files, and adhering to established procedures and timelines for closing. Qualifications Strong title examination and real estate documentation skills, including experience reviewing deeds, mortgages, liens, easements, and legal descriptions. Proficiency with title, escrow, and recording systems, as well as search tools and public records databases. Solid understanding of real estate and title insurance regulations, closing processes, and compliance requirements in Texas. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills to identify and resolve title issues efficiently. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with team members and clients. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work on-site in Allen, TX, and collaborate effectively with escrow and closing teams. Prior experience as a Title Examiner, Title Officer, or related role in the title and escrow industry; Texas experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or professional certifications in real estate, title, or paralegal studies are beneficial.
