Job Description

DT-Trak is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a full-time federal contract assignment at the Federal Correctional Institution in Beckley, West Virginia.

This is a weekday position offering a consistent schedule, no evenings, no weekends, and no on-call responsibilities. The Pharmacist will support medication management and pharmaceutical care services within a multidisciplinary healthcare team serving the inmate population.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Up to 40 hours per week
• No overtime required 

Compensation

• Weekly pay
• Long-term contract opportunity
• Potential assignment duration up to 240 working days 

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders
• Dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications
• Maintain controlled substance accountability and inventory
• Provide medication counseling and education
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and pharmacy personnel
• Participate in formulary management and medication utilization activities
• Document services within the electronic medical record system
• Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy standards and policies 

Qualifications

• PharmD or RPh degree
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in any U.S. state
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one year of pharmacist experience within the past 24 months preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to obtain federal security clearance and facility approval 

Security Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete:

• Federal background investigation
• Fingerprinting
• Credit review
• Drug screening if required
• Institutional orientation and security training
