Merging Happiness & Inclusion Inc. is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Staff member to join our team in Murfreesboro, TN. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. If you're passionate about empowering others and fostering inclusion, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and daily routines
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to community activities, and social events
- Encourage skill-building, independence, and community inclusion
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- Respond appropriately to behavioral needs and crisis situations following established protocols
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete required DSP training
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining client dignity and confidentiality
