Description


Perform miscellaneous custodial duties to fill in for anyone on vacation or absent as assigned, to include: sweep, dust mop, spot mop, spray buff, shower scrub, burnish, and refinish all hard surface floors throughout the assigned area, or as assigned by the supervisor. Vacuum, spot clean, shampoo, extract carpets throughout the assigned area, or as assigned by the supervisor. Move furniture, equipment, materials, and perform other general maintenance. Service, clean, and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, offices, and clean drinking fountains. Remove trash and debris from building to dumpster. Clean entry way, partition glass, interior windows, blinds, light fixtures, and vents. Dust furniture, spot clean walls, ceilings, and doors/frames, as needed. Maintain custodial closets, work areas, and equipment in a clean and safe manner. Snow removal, as required. Report to Facilities by job request anything that needs repairing or replacing. Order and re-stock supplies. Distribute supplies and move equipment. Respond to emergency calls and unlock/lock otherwise secure rooms. Perform special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Typical Qualifications

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Resilient and hard surface floor care experience preferred.

Working Hours and Days: Sunday-Thursday 6:00AM-2:30PM

Supplemental Information

Physical/Environmental Factors:

• Ability to operate buffers, scrubbers, burnishers, extractors, and other custodial equipment.
• Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals
• Lifting (weight) - 50 lbs

This is a Relief Custodian position. Employee will receive an additional $0.50/hr Flex diff for time worked.
