Process Engineer - Chemical OperationsThis person will work at a ~100-person high-purity batch chemical manufacturing facility located in Central Oregon. This person will wear many hats and will be doing work related to process optimization/improvement, process troubleshooting, quality engineering and root-cause analysis, work related to new product launches and product testing as well as working with teams on capital project efforts. This person will be part of a very collaborative team of engineers and scientists and will have a stake in making decisions within the plant environment and beyond. There is a lot of growth potential for this person as this company continue to expand and growCompensation Range: $110,000 to $130,000/yr base salary, depending on experience level; full benefits and relocation assistance are also part of their offerKey Requirements and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required3-5 years of post-college industry experience in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or a closely related manufacturing environmentExperience in an engineering role supporting manufacturing, process improvement, product development, or commercial-scale chemical operationsExperience working in a Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated environment or direct familiarity with PSM standards and program elementsStrong background in process optimization, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysisAbility to support quality engineering efforts and help identify and implement process improvementsExperience supporting new product launches, production trials, and product testingAbility to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, EHS, quality, and development teamsFamiliarity with Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, or other process validation and characterization tools preferredAbility to help define process requirements, support equipment improvements, and contribute to capital project effortsExperience creating or updating SOPs, batch records, BOMs, or related manufacturing documentation preferredFamiliarity with PLC and/or DCS control systems is a strong plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work effectively in team-based, collaborative environmentsBend, Oregon offers access to a high quality of life in Central Oregon, with a strong outdoor lifestyle, scenic mountain and high desert surroundings, and a well-regarded community atmosphere.
