Network Engineer, Senior Principal

Meaningful Work and Personal Impact As a Network Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting national security, defense operations, and critical infrastructure protection. You will play a crucial role in designing, securing, and maintaining resilient network architectures that enable uninterrupted communication, real-time data sharing, and mission-critical system availability, ensuring that operational objectives are achieved efficiently and securely in dynamic and high-stakes environments. Design and architect scalable, secure voice, video, wireless, and data communication networks Lead development of high-level and low-level network designs (HLD/LLD) Deploy and integrate Cisco-based enterprise and data center solutions Configure and support advanced technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN Serve as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders and senior leadership Translate complex technical requirements into actionable strategies and architectures Collaborate across multiple technical disciplines including security, cloud, and DevOps Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment managing competing prioritiesTroubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and perform root cause analysis Identify and implement performance, reliability, and security improvements; develop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, or similar tools What You’ll Need to Succeed Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer Sr Principal must have: Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (or equivalent experience) Experience: 10+ years of related experience.
