Outdoor Material Handler (Yard)

Location: Bear Creek, NC
Pay: $16–$19/hour (Paid Weekly)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Outdoor Material Handler to support daily yard operations. This role involves moving, organizing, and staging materials in an outdoor yard environment while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physical work outdoors and has a strong work ethic. Forklift experience is not required — training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Move, organize, and stage materials throughout the outdoor yard.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials.
• Prepare materials for production, shipment, or customer orders.
• Maintain an organized yard and ensure materials are stored safely.
• Perform inventory checks and report damaged or missing materials.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Support general yard and material handling duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, landscaping, or general labor preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Willingness to learn and operate equipment after training.
• Reliable transportation required.

Preferred Experience

• Material handling experience.
• Manufacturing or industrial background.
• Experience working with building materials, lumber, steel, or similar products.
• Outdoor labor or yard experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
