Site Safety Coordinator:

Work Hours: 7AM-3PM Weekends as needed

Starting Pay: $23.90

Location: Willard, OH

Position Specific Details:

• Support in Safety Site Engagement
• Partner with all employees, local management and Lakeside Book Operations EHS team to ensure that we are creating and implementing plans to support the health and safety of our facility.
• Reports to the EHA Manager
• Support the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of this site’s EHS Management System and EHS Metrics performance.
• Work with management and employees to plan, develop, implement and continually improve site EHS policies and compliance.
• Ensure sustainable compliance to customers, regulatory and Lakeside Book EHS requirements.

As a Site Safety Coordinator, you will:

• · Meet with site safety resources to augment and support efforts in moving to a best practice organization in terms of safety and environmental compliance and culture.
• · Assist with an incident investigation process to identify systemic, cultural, behavioral and management system deficiencies that contribute to incidents.
• · Conduct audits and inspections assigned.
• · Assist in identifying and closing corrective actions.
• · Assist with the identification and elimination of safety and health hazards.

Qualifications:

• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing using proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.

Requirements:

• · Ability to use Microsoft Office and Google programs including Excel and Powerpoint
• · Strong written and verbal communication skills
• · Solid comprehension of OSHA Regulations a plus
• · Passion for creating and sustaining a safety culture
