Job Details Location: Crawfordville, FL – Wakulla Correctional Institution Position type: Full‑time Education level required: Bachelor’s degree Travel percentage: None Shift: Day Job category: Behavioral Health Professional & Support Job Overview We are seeking a full‑time Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Wakulla Correctional Institution in Crawfordville, FL. The technician participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental‑health/health‑care setting. Additional responsibilities include supervising patients and providing formal education in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.), providing care and activities programming as well as social rehabilitation and leisure activities, assisting in the preparation and maintenance of records pertaining to patient mental health, and scheduling, setting up, operating and supervising tele‑psychiatry appointments. Schedule: 8:00am – 4:30pm with rotating weekends. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Sciences, Psychology, or a closely related field. Two years or more of experience providing activities programming for patients with serious mental illness. Competency with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases. Active Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification. Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
