Osprey Life Sciences is hiring an experienced IT Business Partner (ITBP) on behalf of an innovative clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on advancing next-generation therapies in immunology and inflammatory diseases.
The organization is continuing to expand its Clinical and Regulatory technology landscape and is seeking a hands-on IT/business partner to support key Clinical initiatives across Veeva Vault and related Clinical systems.
Position Overview
The IT Business Partner will serve as the primary liaison between Clinical business stakeholders and IT, supporting Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and Data Management functions across a growing portfolio of Clinical technologies.
This individual will bring deep understanding of Clinical development business processes combined with hands-on implementation experience across Veeva Vault applications and related Clinical systems. The role will focus on partnering with stakeholders to optimize workflows, support ongoing platform expansion, guide solutioning decisions, and help execute strategic Clinical technology initiatives.
In parallel, this person may also help assess and scope broader Clinical initiatives, including:
- Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM)
- Clinical Portfolio Planning solutions
- Cross-functional Clinical process and data initiatives
- Future-state Clinical systems roadmap planning
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing Clinical operational workflows, system architecture considerations, vendor capabilities, and implementation strategy within a regulated biotech environment.
- Serve as the primary IT/business partner supporting Clinical Operations, Data Management, Biostatistics, Regulatory, and Quality stakeholders.
- Partner with business leaders to assess needs, define priorities, and align technology solutions with organizational objectives.
- Provide functional expertise across Clinical technology platforms, with a primary focus on TMF, CTMS, and related Clinical systems.
- Support Veeva Vault implementation initiatives and provide guidance based on prior implementation experience.
- Lead requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, and implementation readiness activities.
- Translate business requirements into scalable system and process solutions.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and drive decision-making across Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and IT teams.
- Collaborate with implementation partners and vendors to support successful delivery of Clinical technology initiatives.
- Proactively identify process, organizational, and technology gaps and recommend practical improvements.
- Support evaluation of future initiatives, including RBQM, Clinical Portfolio Planning, reporting and analytics, and Clinical systems roadmap development.
- Partner with Quality and Validation teams to ensure solutions align with GxP, compliance, validation, and inspection readiness requirements.
- Support change management, stakeholder communication, training, and user adoption activities.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Clinical Systems experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences organizations.
- Strong understanding of Clinical Operations, TMF, CTMS, Data Management, Regulatory, and/or Quality business processes.
- Experience participating in multiple Veeva Vault implementation programs.
- Functional knowledge of Veeva Vault applications, particularly TMF, CTMS, RIM, and related Clinical systems.
- Experience serving as an IT Business Partner, Business Systems Analyst, Product Owner, Clinical Systems Lead, or similar role.
- Proven experience gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and supporting technology implementations.
- Working knowledge of GxP-regulated environments and validation methodologies, including familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ concepts and validation lifecycle activities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate independently within fast-paced, evolving biotech environments.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RBQM tools, processes, or operational models
- Exposure to Clinical Portfolio Planning platforms or governance processes
- Familiarity with:
- Clinical trial systems ecosystems
- eTMF/CTMS integrations
- Clinical data flows and reporting
- SDLC and validation methodologies
- Experience working with external implementation partners and vendors
- Prior experience in emerging or mid-sized biotech environments preferred
Environment
This is a highly collaborative environment supporting a growing clinical-stage biotechnology organization advancing multiple innovative therapies through clinical development. The team is seeking someone who can partner closely with Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Data Management, IT, and external vendors to help shape and execute a scalable Clinical systems roadmap.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating both strategically and tactically — capable of understanding Clinical business processes, guiding system and vendor discussions, and supporting hands-on implementation work across Veeva Vault and related Clinical technologies.
