Warehouse Lead Associate

Job Purpose The Warehouse Lead Associate is responsible for leading a variety of warehouse delivery tasks to ensure efficiency, safety, and accuracy within the warehouse. Responsibilities Ensure shipping and receiving functions, including receipt of deliveries, processing of returns, and warranty items. Coordinate inbound receiving schedule to allow ample time for freight to be received and put away accurately on a daily basis. Maintain organization and appearance of the warehouse and inventory accuracy, including performing discrepancy counts, cycle counts, bin locations, and various daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Maintain relationships with freight carriers to ensure timely delivery of product and payment of freight claims for lost and damaged shipments. Coordinate building maintenance and security. Verify, receive, and put away incoming stock. Pull, pack, stage, and ship outgoing orders and transfers. Assist customers with orders and processing returns of warranty items and stock items. Operate handheld scanners to receive, move, and track inventory in and out of the facility. Assist management with inventory accuracy, including cycle count and physical inventory. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and common areas to ensure an orderly and safe work environment. Operate site vehicle for customer and branch orders, as needed. Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable physical attendance. Work overtime as assigned. Work cooperatively with others. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Physical demands: stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Work in environments as cold as 20 degrees or as hot as 105 degrees. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. One year of HVAC experience. One year of forklift experience (preferred). One year of warehouse experience (preferred). One year of customer service experience (preferred). Proficient in computer and inventory systems. Possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies. Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy. Qualify under federal and state regulations to drive the vehicle in question.
