Overview
Registered Nurse – OR (Travel) in Kansas City, Kansas, United States. Start date: 08/02/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay: $2,268 to $2,387 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 3x12-hour days. You will be working in a hospital operating suite as part of a perioperative team, with opportunities to participate in complex cases.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care for surgical patients, including circulating and/or scrub roles, while maintaining patient safety and sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Assist with complex cases including DaVinci robot-assisted surgeries, large head and neck procedures, neuro-spine, and exploratory/abdominal operations as required.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulating/tech teams to anticipate instrument needs and ensure efficient case flow.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage airway and hemodynamic changes, and ensure correct counting of instruments and devices.
- Maintain the sterile field, manage equipment and supplies, and support efficient turnover between cases.
- Float to other OR areas as needed while maintaining competency and adhering to unit policies and standards.

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- 2+ years of OR nursing experience
- Level 1 trauma experience required; strong scrub experience
- Experience with DaVinci robot cases and exposure to head/neck, neurospine, and ex-lap procedures
- Ability to work in a hospital OR setting and float to other ORs as needed
- Orientation participation required; credent ialing due 1 week prior to start (Mon)
- Nicotine-free facility policy; heavy emphasis on patient safety and adherence to protocols
