Construction Materials Production Manager

Construction Materials Production ManagerManages production operations across assigned construction materials plants and is accountable for safe, reliable, and cost-effective output that meets customer demand and product specifications. Leads production supervisors and crews, sets production plans and schedules, and aligns plant capacity with sales forecasts and inventory needs. Partners with maintenance, quality control, and operations leaders to improve equipment reliability, throughput, yield, and unit costs, and drives a strong safety culture and continuous improvement throughout the production process.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage production operations to meet output, product quality, and cost targetsDevelop production plans and schedules that align plant capacity with sales forecasts and inventory needsLead, coach, and develop production supervisors and crews, and manage performance and staffing levelsMonitor throughput, uptime, yield, and unit costs, and lead corrective actions to close performance gapsOptimize plant settings, product mix, and process flow to improve efficiency and meet specificationsPartner with maintenance to plan preventive maintenance, shutdowns, and repairs that improve reliabilityWork with quality control to monitor test results and resolve product specification issuesManage production budgets and control labor, energy, wear parts, and material costsDrive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, environmental, and company requirementsIdentify process improvements and capital needs, and support equipment and plant improvement projectsMaintain accurate production, inventory, and regulatory records and reportingPerform other related duties and ad hoc tasks as assignedEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor degree in operations, engineering, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience consideredProgressive construction materials production and leadership experience requiredRelevant safety, environmental, quality, or leadership certifications preferredIndividual Development (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Deep knowledge of construction materials production processes, plant equipment, and product specificationsStrong understanding of production planning, capacity, and process improvement methodsAbility to lead production teams and drive results through supervisorsStrong planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost-management skillsWorking knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, and environmental requirementsAbility to analyze production data and identify root causes of performance issuesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsBenefits Include:Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401K matchProfit sharingPaid HolidaysPaid Time Off
