Job Title: Material Handler Coordinator
Pay Rate: $25.58/hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM)
Location: Onsite -  Indianapolis IN
Flexibility: Candidates must be available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift for training purposes.

Position Overview:

The Material Handler Coordinator is responsible for managing the physical and administrative aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts. Candidates should be comfortable working within standard operating procedures, adapting as necessary to meet operational needs, and collaborating effectively with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced material handling tasks including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and distribution.
• Unpack and inspect goods against purchase orders/invoices; handle documentation and reject any unsatisfactory items.
• Prepare merchandise for final shipment, including posting weights and shipping charges.
• Stock inventory and deliver materials to manufacturing lines; prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
• Manage release and allocation of deliveries in inventory systems (Exacta/SAP), resolving order or inventory issues to ensure process flow.
• Interface with internal customers to resolve inventory discrepancies and support operational requirements.
• Conduct routine and periodic audits to monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs.
• Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001 standards.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and maintain quality objectives through daily actions.
• Serve as backup for Process Specialist as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant material handling, logistics, or warehouse experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GMP and ISO 9001 principles.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications (Word, Excel) and inventory management systems (SAP preferred).
• Ability to operate forklifts and lift heavy items safely.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Basic math skills required.

Additional Information:

Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and able to train across multiple shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) as operational needs dictate. This position includes responsibilities commonly held by shipping and receiving clerks.
