Yard Associate & Delivery Driver Trainee – Direct Hire | Raleigh, NC

We're looking for a dependable, customer-focused Yard Associate & Delivery Driver Trainee to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, helping customers, staying active, and is willing to learn new skills, including forklift operation and local deliveries.

This is a hands-on, multi-dimensional role where no two days are exactly the same. You'll assist customers, pull orders, load materials, and make local deliveries using company pickup trucks.

Pay & Schedule

• $19/hour + overtime opportunities
• Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Every other Saturday | 9:00 AM-2:00 PM (with some flexibility)

What You'll Do

• Accurately pull and stage customer orders

• Utilize basic math when selecting orders
• Assist customers in selecting and loading lumber and building materials
• Make local deliveries using company vehicles, including pickup trucks
• Learn to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks and materials
• Maintain an organized and safe yard environment
• Provide excellent customer service to contractors, builders, and homeowners
• Help with general yard and warehouse responsibilities as needed

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to drive company vehicles
• Desire to learn forklift operating skills (training provided)
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stay active and safely handle building materials throughout the day
• Strong attention to detail and ability to pull orders accurately
• Good driving record and valid driver's license required
• Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen
