Details Med/Surg Tele unit within a tertiary care hospital with 528 staffed beds 26-bed unit caring primarily for CHF patients, acute MIs, post device care (pacemakers), and arrhythmia patients 51-bed unit caring for general surgery patients including colon rectal, ostomies, plastic and cosmetic center patients, breast procedures, and reconstruction surgeries High volume unit with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00 Every other weekend required Floating required Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active NY RN license in hand required, no exceptions Current BLS certification required Current NIHSS certification required Minimum 1 year of experience required Additional Information First time travelers are accepted Locals not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy and white Call off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment; being placed on-call in lieu of a call-off counts as a called-off shift American Traveler Job ID P-749118.
