Phlebotomist Float

Overview Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. The Phlebotomist Float will join our team in Oceanside, CA, supporting multiple sites with varied schedules. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and related analyses. Enter patient information accurately and timely into the data system. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites as needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. California state phlebotomy license (CPT) or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist. Current or prior experience with Labcorp. In lieu of license, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet the requirement. 6 months or more phlebotomist experience with geriatrics and pediatric patients. Pass a standardized color blindness test. Be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment; comfortable with minimal supervision. Incentives and Benefits Quarterly incentive bonus program; Phlebotomy Incentive Plan with a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Pay Range: $23.00-$33.00 per hour; Float Incentive: an additional $1.50/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
