The Dispatcher’s primary responsibility is to ensure all equipment, personnel, and infrastructure is scheduled for propane equipment installations and service appointments.Duties/Responsibilities:Schedule deliveries for customers and provide instructions to drivers and service technicians in a timely, efficient mannerReview routes, monitor and adjust routes as neededDaily review of customer accounts due for deliveryRespond to customer inquiries, address concerns, and assess overall satisfactionEnsures timely communication of delivery orders by maintaining open lines between management and driversKeep customers updated with delivery statusCreate new delivery orders for skipped orders as neededReview driver tickets to ensure all customer accounts are billed for gas deliveryIdentify equipment and tank needsFollow position specific processes, procedures, and safety protocol to include wearing appropriate PPEProvide excellent customer servicePerform other general duties as assignedThe absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentAt least one (1) year of dispatch experience in the propane and oil industryRequired Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of dispatch scheduling practices and logistics coordination.Ability to provide excellent customer serviceMust possess strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read a map and familiarity with the county and surrounding citiesMust be proficient in the current Microsoft Office SuitePhysical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using a phone, and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed in order to safely assist with duties around the office and/or plant as neededMust pass a pre-employment screening and background checkThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work that is expected to be performed.
