Job Description

Summary 

The Production Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties, including routine corrective and preventive maintenance, equipment installation and troubleshooting, and routine mechanical testing of plant equipment.

Essential Duties

• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment, as well as regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facility.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Conduct routine mechanical testing of plant equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least 3 years Maintenance Experience or Skilled Trades Experience
• Strong working knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, compressors, piping and valves
• Experience with SMAW, TIG and MIG welding preferred
• Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
• Ability to work while wearing a respirator or other breathing equipment
• Electrical and Controls knowledge a plus

 

Additional Information

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a plant environment within a manufacturing/warehouse/shipping facility with a controlled climate in the office area, temperatures vary in the plant area. This position requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, kneeling, and crawling.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, standard days/hours are Monday – Friday 3 pm-1 am, with the flexibility of some early hours, later hours, and weekend work when needed. Fridays are sometimes flexible.

Travel

• No overnight or long-distance travel expected for this position
• Local travel may be required for errands

Wage

Starting Rate: $24/hour - Competitive pay and benefits based on experience level

Shift Differential: $1 per hour
