About the Position

Job Title: Charge Operating Room RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:45 - 17:15) Experience: 5 years in circulating/scrubbing role, 2 years in charge RN role in a trauma setting License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: - Proficient in general, bariatrics, trauma, gynecology, urology, robotics, orthopedic, neuro, and podiatry specialties - Effective communication skills with anesthesia team, surgeons, and nursing team - Ability to prioritize patient care based on acuity, including trauma, emergent, urgent, and add-on cases Description: Charge OR RN with 5 years of experience in circulating and scrubbing roles. 2 years of experience running daily operations in a charge RN role in a trauma setting required. First-time travelers are accepted with strong general OR and robotics experience. Must effectively communicate with anesthesia teams, surgeons, and nursing teams. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to prioritize efficiently, understanding patient acuity levels. Experience in a Level II Trauma Center is advantageous. Must complete on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Epic, is required. Candidates should have experience in a variety of surgical procedures, with a focus on trauma, ortho, and robotics.
