Position Available: General Cardiologist

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic General Cardiologist to become part of our Michigan Heart Cardiology team located in Ann Arbor, Michigan . Opportunity Details

• Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
• Schedule: Days/Weekends/On-Call
• Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
• Specialty: Cardiology
• Teaching Opportunities: Yes - Involvement with Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows
• Call Requirements: Shared Call Coverage: 1:6

Role Responsibilities

The general cardiology practice will encompass:

• Echocardiography and stress testing
• Outpatient cardiac arrhythmia monitoring
• Inpatient and outpatient general cardiology care and consultations, with a focus on heart failure
• Development and potential leadership of a community hospital heart failure program, including a CHF clinic with outpatient heart failure monitoring systems (e.g., Cardiomems, Zoll, and device-related heart failure alert systems)
• Liaison and co-management between the community hospital and advanced heart failure centers for potential LVAD and cardiac transplant patients
• Participation in pharmacological and device-related industry-supported heart failure research

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiologist
• Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one)
• DEA license
• BLS certification (must be maintained) / ACLS certification (must be maintained)

• Providing direct patient care
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Participating in teaching and mentoring
• Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
• Supporting community health initiatives
