Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining proper labeling and documentation standards.
• Explain procedures to patients to create a trusting and comfortable environment.
• Accurately maintain required records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing.
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidence while performing both forensic and clinical specimen collection duties.
• Maintain a safe work environment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff.
• Follow established practices and procedures consistently to ensure process excellence.
• Ensure punctuality, reliability, and availability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime if necessary.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, with experience in pediatric and geriatric draws.
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Keyboard and data entry experience to maintain accurate records.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and reside within 20-25 minutes of the worksite.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
