State License Needed: Compliance with regional state licensing requirements

Compensation: ~$3,200 weekly gross pay for travelers, local rates available as well.

Job Description

Medix is partnering with a premier, established cardiology practice to connect them with a skilled, contract Clinical Echo Sonographer. In this travel role, you will step into a modern imaging environment and work closely with a highly supportive team to deliver exceptional outpatient care. As a Medix contract clinician, you will play a vital role in meeting regional practice coverage needs while enjoying the flexibility and adventure of a travel assignment

Position Responsibilities

• Clinical Testin g: Perform high-quality outpatient adult (18+) transthoracic echocardiograms, including 2D Echo, Doppler, Color Flow, Stress Echo, and contrast/bubble studies.
• Advanced Imagin g: Utilize and apply strain imaging techniques and manage structural heart patient imaging as required.
• Patient Workflo w: Manage a full daily schedule efficiently (approximately 9 patients per 8-hour shift or 12 patients per 10-hour shift) while maintaining a high standard of professional technical care.
• Documentation & Safet y: Accurately enter and manage all data utilizing EMR systems (Epic and Merge Cardio), save and retrieve images, and maintain a pristine and well-stocked testing area in alignment with safety standards.
• Cardiologist Collaboratio n: Recognize and immediately report significant abnormal findings to the attending cardiologist.

Job Requirements

• Certificati on: Active RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or ARDMS (RDCS) certification.
• Experien ce: Minimum of 2–3+ years of clinical experience performing adult echocardiography. Hospital-based or high-volume clinical experience is highly preferred.
• Technical Skil ls: Proficiency with strain imaging, bubble studies, Epic, and Merge Cardio software.
• Soft Skil ls: Highly reliable, adaptable, and possessing strong communication skills to seamlessly integrate into regional practice coverage teams.
• Flexibili ty: A willingness to occasionally float between regional clinic locations if operational needs arise.
