Base pay range $95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Aprio Talent Solutions Recruiter - Aprio Talent Solutions / Real Estate Broker with Keller Williams South Park Full-Time Corporate Senior Accountant (External Reporting) Location: Atlanta, GA (Midtown; Across from the Georgia Tech Campus) Job Type: Full-Time Work Environment: Hybrid (4 Days In-Office, 1 Day Remote; Except For The Last 2 Weeks Of Each Quarter, Which Is 5 Days In-Office) Position Overview: The client is seeking a sharp and intelligent Corporate Senior Accountant to join their corporate controllers group. This role will primarily focus on external reporting (70%) and lease accounting under ASC 842 (30%). The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting, preferably from a large firm, and possess the capability to learn new concepts quickly. The managers will provide guidance and support during the transition into external reporting and lease accounting. Responsibilities: Prepare and review journal entries and manage monthly and quarterly accounting tasks. Assist in preparing external financial reports and regulatory filings (10Q, 10K, 8K). Manage lease accounting to ensure compliance with accounting standards (ASC 842). Support the development of materials for investor communications and ensure accuracy in publicly shared documents. Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function. Ensure adherence to internal policies and maintain documentation for compliance controls. Lead ad hoc projects with the ability to work independently. Conduct research to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Collaborate effectively with external auditors during audits and reviews. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master's preferred). 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or related Big 4 audit experience, particularly with SEC clients. Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Oracle ERP or reporting tools like Essbase/SmartView is a plus. CPA certification is preferred but not required. Why Join Us?
