Position Summary

The Field Technician is responsible for building, repairing, and keeping millions of customers connected by handling the physical infrastructure of our broadband network. This dual-discipline role works extensively with both legacy coaxial and modern fiber optic cabling across overhead aerial poles and underground pathways. 

Location: We have 5 roles in Jacksonville, NC and 5 in Wilmington, NC

Core Responsibilitie s:

• Day Shift
• This is all FTTH work. Ideally need experience with both Fiber and Coax. These are all install technicians for a lead Service provider. They will be taking the lines from the road to the house where they will turn service on inside the house
• Network Deployment: Install, route, and support aerial drop lines and underground fiber/coax trunk networks safely within public right-of-ways and customer easements.
• Splicing & Interconnection: Perform mechanical and fusion splicing on active single-mode fiber lines, and terminate rigid trunk coaxial connectors.
• System Testing: Utilize OTDRs, power meters, and RF signal level meters to isolate structural fiber breaks, ingress, or micro-reflections.
