Description

Position: Gastroenterologist
Location: Santa Barbara, CA
Job Type: Full-time

Practice Overview

Predominantly outpatient practice with a balanced mix of endoscopy (60%) and office-based care (40%)
Manageable patient load of 15-20 per day
Call coverage: 1 week every 9 weeks at a single hospital
Collaborative team environment with strong clinical and administrative support
Endoscopy skillset includes: EGD, colonoscopy, esophageal manometry, Bravo, and capsule studies

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat digestive and gastrointestinal diseases
Perform diagnostic procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies
Document patient histories and develop individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and administer medications or treatments
Collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure quality of care

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
California medical license (or ability to obtain)
Current DEA license
Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
ERCP experience a plus but not required
