Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a travel RDN – Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a travel assignment in Chicago, Illinois. Job Details Job ID #1914758. Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 8 weeks Work hours: 40 hours per week (8‑hour, day shift) Employment Type: Travel Role: RDN – Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Allied Health Professional) Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a registered dietitian Valid dietitian license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Preferred Cer.A.T (ASATT) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Evaluate appropriateness of diet order for diagnosis and recommend diet order changes as indicated Instruct patients and patient families on dietary principles, restrictions, and practical strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet order Conduct patient visitations including screening for nutrition concerns relating to malnutrition, tube feeding, TPN, and special diets related to disease Develop personalized nutrition plans and implement interventions based on knowledge of the patient’s current health Monitor the effectiveness of nutrition plans, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to include physicians, nurses, and aides Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Registered Dietitians Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills English language proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities – Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills – Work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) with a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills – Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements – Cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally, or without assistance; contend with irregular activity schedules; focus on details Sensory – Visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability offered 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
