Description Job Summary The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department’s requirements and the scope of practice for the relevant state. The RN works with medical providers and the care team, providing individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as 'Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.' The RN advocates for patients and families, promoting a commitment to the organization’s vision and supporting outstanding patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assess patients’ pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s); document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly. Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs, proactively resolving them. Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, status, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex terminology for complete understanding. Teach about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepare patients and families for future self‑management.
