Overview Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a highly motivated Senior Buyer to lead strategic procurement and supply chain initiatives for the Antcom division. In this position, you will manage supplier relationships, lead sourcing and new product introduction activities, drive cost reduction initiatives, and ensure uninterrupted material flow to support business objectives.While part of the Operations & Supply Chain team, this position will join a high-performance team focused on optimizing supply chain performance, supporting manufacturing operations, and delivering innovative products to customers around the world. This position is based in Torrance, California. Responsibilities As Senior Buyer, you will:Lead Antcom new product introduction supply chain projects from concept through production, including supplier selection, target cost development, RFQs, qualification activities, and initial deliveries.Coordinate project activities with Engineering, Production, Operations, Supplier Quality, and Finance teams.Issue purchase orders through the MRP system and analyze purchasing requirements for assigned commodities and suppliers.Lead new vendor onboarding activities and supplier transition projects.Provide leadership and guidance to purchasing team members.Analyze and report purchase price variances and develop corrective action plans to achieve cost objectives.Coordinate and support supplier delivery performance improvement activities.Analyze mid- and long-term shortages and lead resolution activities to protect customer deliveries and sales commitments.Review and update purchasing procedures and serve as the Supply Chain ISO representative for the site.Maintain MRP system health through purchase order alignment, quantity management, and schedule management.Monitor and respond to daily MRP actions including purchase orders, reschedules, cancellations, and overdue orders.Process supplier-related return material authorizations and support supplier corrective action activities.Maintain ERP master data integrity, including lead times, supplier information records, minimum order quantities, and other purchasing parameters.Analyze forecasted demand and develop long-term agreements and supply strategies with key suppliers. Qualifications Must Have:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain purchasing or procurement.Minimum 1 year of team leadership or people management experience.Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts related to purchasing, logistics, incoming inspection, inventory control, BOM management, and item master setup.Proven experience selecting and managing suppliers for new and existing products.Strong knowledge of SAP, MRP systems, and advanced Excel capabilities.Experience implementing supplier agreements, inventory programs, lead-time reduction initiatives, and long-term agreements.Experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment.Must be a U.S. Person as Antcom is an ITAR-registered facility.Applicants for select positions that require access to information controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) must be U.S. Persons per applicable regulations or otherwise eligible to obtain required authorization from the U.S. Government.Key Success Factors:Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively in complex, fast-paced environments with changing priorities.Strong negotiation, influencing, and supplier relationship management capabilities.Ability to independently lead projects and drive results through cross-functional collaboration.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply chain and procurement data to support decision making.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor and support team members.Nice-to-Have:Experience in aerospace, defense, or military manufacturing environments.Experience supporting engineer-to-order or low-volume, high-mix production environments.Professional supply chain certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM.Experience leading supplier development and cost reduction initiatives.Knowledge of ISO requirements and quality management systems.Experience with new product introduction and supplier qualification processes.EOE/F/M/Vet/Disabled Click on the links below to learn more about Equal Employment Opportunity.
