Brighter Day is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team as a Direct Care Professional to provide care to the individuals we support. You will work in home settings supporting individuals with daily living activities, participating in recreational activities, and fostering positive relationships. Come be part of a growing team!

• Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and a vehicle. 
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to attend the paid 2-week orientation M-F 9:30am-5:00pm.

• WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Implement individualized care plans and follow specific protocols
• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and promoting independence
• Assist with medication administration and documentation as required
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals

• HOURS NEEDED:

• We have several shifts and schedules to meet your needs . These are general options, but we have a lot of variety.

• FT - 7a-3p - Sunday-Thursday
• FT - 3p-11p - Wednesday-Sunday
• PT - 11p-7a - Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• PT - 7a-3p - Saturday, Sunday
• PT - 3p-11p - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
• PT - 7a-3p, 3p-11p - Saturday, Sunday
• FT - 3p-11p - Monday-Friday
• FT - 3p-11p - Wednesday-Sunday
• PT - 7a-3p - Thursday, Friday
• PT - 3p-11p - Monday, Tuesday
• PT - 11p-7a - Thursday night, Friday night

SKILLS NEEDED:

• Experience in providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities or similar populations preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively with people with diverse needs and backgrounds
• Strong communication skills to interact with individuals, families, and team members
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team orientated environment
