Job Description

This role involves testing and validating aerospace components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards. The Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, executing, and documenting test procedures for flight-critical products, such as ducting assemblies and hoses. Testing activities include functional, performance, environmental, and qualification testing to verify product integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test procedures in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Perform functional, environmental, and qualification testing on components, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
• Set up and operate test equipment, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation to evaluate product performance.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test requirements to ensure proper test execution.
• Collect, record, and analyze test data to determine conformance to specifications and requirements.
• Prepare detailed test reports and maintain accurate documentation of test results and activities.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on testing and lab experience in functional, environmental, and qualification testing.
• Data analysis and troubleshooting abilities to interpret test data and identify root causes of failures.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T, requirements).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge or certifications in AS9100 & ISO 9001 quality systems and aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Experience with test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
• Familiarity with GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and engineering documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in testing, validation, or engineering within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing functional, environmental, or qualification testing is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment involves laboratory or production test settings, requiring familiarity with pressure, flow, leak, or performance testing. The role may require working in an ITAR-controlled environment, depending on program needs. The position demands collaboration with cross-functional teams, utilizing various test equipment and instrumentation for data acquisition and product evaluation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, CA.

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $55.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Simi Valley,CA.
