Job Details Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102 Shift Duration: 12-hour days Hours per Week: 36 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650 Charting System: Epic Patient Ratio: 1:6 Schedule Notes: Self-scheduling; 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period; no call Float Requirement: Float to like units as needed Orientation: Includes onsite orientation and unit modules Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Medical-Surgical nursing experience required BLS certification required CPI preferred Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients Comfortable working in a 1:6 patient ratio acute care environment Experience with Epic charting preferred Ability to float to like units within scope as needed Must be available for scheduled weekend coverage Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients in an acute care setting Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to changing clinical needs Support rapid response activation and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members Perform common Medical-Surgical nursing skills including IV management, wound care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication Work collaboratively with charge nurses, therapists, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other support teams Float to like units when needed while maintaining quality patient care Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment on a busy 32-bed unit Apply now to join this Med/Surg travel nurse opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and take the next step in your Registered Nurse career.
