Labor and Employment Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Associate to join its Minneapolis, MN office. The successful candidate will collaborate with partners on a variety of employment litigation matters, including wage and hour collective actions, class actions, and single plaintiff cases, as well as complex advisory matters. Duties Manage single-plaintiff cases and contribute significantly to complex litigation management. Collaborate with partners on case strategy and tactics. Engage in substantial brief writing. Interview witnesses and prepare fact presentations for litigated matters. Draft discovery requests and responses. Take and defend depositions. Conduct legal research and draft research memoranda. Provide complex employment law advice and counsel. Participate in substantial trial work as required. Requirements Four to six years of employment litigation and counseling experience in a law firm setting. Minnesota bar admission or eligibility for admission. Team-based approach to the practice of law. Commitment to diversity and personal practice development. Excellent analytical and writing skills. Strong verbal communication skills. Education JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Minnesota bar admission or ability to become admitted. Skills Strong analytical and writing skills.
