Details\n \n 24-bed IMC/Medical CC Stepdown unit within a hospital setting \n 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for up to 3 patients \n Patient population includes respiratory disease processes, neurological disorders, chronic illnesses, and COVID cases \n Administers drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, precedex, and low-dose pressors \n Uses Epic EMR \n D/N rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week \n Weekend requirement of 5 shifts every 6 weeks \n Holiday coverage required every other holiday \n First to float among staff \n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (VA or compact) currently in hand \n BLS certification (must be AHA) and ACLS required \n Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required \n Prior stepdown or ICU stepdown experience preferred \n Additional Information\n \n 3-day floor orientation provided \n Scrub requirements: navy blue or solid white pants and tops (jackets navy blue or white); long sleeve undershirts must be navy or white \n First-time travelers may be considered for this position \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-755506.
