This Detroit-based General Contractor is specializing in healthcare, higher education, K-12, industrial, commercial, hospitality, and public sector projects. The company provides preconstruction, construction management, design-build, and general contracting services, delivering complex ground-up and renovation projects with a strong focus on safety, quality, collaboration, and on-time execution. Job Description Develop detailed conceptual estimates based on project scope and design documents. Collaborate with project managers and architects to align budgets with project requirements. Analyze market trends and material costs to provide accurate pricing recommendations. Prepare cost breakdowns and presentations for stakeholders. Review and validate subcontractor and supplier proposals for accuracy and feasibility. Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options. Maintain updated cost databases and historical cost records. Support bid preparation and negotiation processes as required. The Successful Applicant A successful Sr. Conceptual Estimator should have: Experience with conceptual estimating in the construction industry. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency with estimating software and tools. Solid understanding of market pricing and construction costs. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
