Cardiology Department Medical Assistant Opportunity

The Toledo Clinic's Cardiology Department is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA) to work full-time. The hours are Monday-Friday (8-5).

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary

Works collaboratively with the provider to room patients in a timely manner. Proficient in chart prepping prior to the patient's arrival. Easily navigate electronic medical record. Ability to perform EKGs. Assist patients over the phone and performs various clerical duties.

Works under the supervision of the Practice Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• At the request of the physician, sending in prescription refills.
• Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
• Handle physician schedules.

Required:

• Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA).
• Medicare Exclusion List.

Education:

• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.

Preferred:

• Clinical medical assisting experience.
