Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Acute Care Telemetry position in the NC mountains, requiring at least 2 years of experience and geriatric or inpatient rehab (swing bed) background.

Details

• Acute care unit in a 24-bed community hospital setting in Highlands, NC
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 6–7:1
• No HUC, tech, or extra RN support available when no tech is on unit
• Standard med/surg equipment used
• Charting via Cerner
• Floating is rare
• Serves an affluent community with a concierge-level standard of patient experience expected

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• ACLS required; CPI preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required for telemetry RNs
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care or telemetry RN experience required
• Experience with geriatric patients or inpatient rehab (swing bed) patients is required
• Wound care skills required
• Cerner experience preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
