You will troubleshoot, maintain, install, and repair electrical equipment and systems throughout the plant. Your responsibilities will include: Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, sketches, charts, and diagrams Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, dismantle, and replace electrical systems and equipment Work with electrical fixtures, lighting systems, meters, motors, and industrial equipment Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and programmable control systems Work with solid-state electronic control systems, pneumatic systems, and pyrometric equipment Perform electrical maintenance on plant substations and other industrial electrical systems Complete preventive maintenance inspections and accurately document maintenance activities Update and transfer maintenance information to electrical blueprints and documentation Diagnose electrical problems and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability Work safely throughout all areas of the manufacturing facility, including the roof, boiler house, attic, and other plant areas Follow all safety procedures and maintain a strong commitment to a zero-injury workplace You’ll Thrive Here If You: Enjoy hands-on electrical troubleshooting and industrial maintenance Like working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Take pride in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently Enjoy diagnosing electrical problems and finding solutions Have experience working with PLCs, programmable controllers, and industrial electrical systems Are committed to workplace safety and following electrical safety procedures Want to grow your skills and build a long-term career in manufacturing What You’ll Need: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Journeyman Electrician Card PLC experience Industrial electrical or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred Ability to work any shift Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position Build Your Career With Silgan Silgan is more than a manufacturing company — we are an essential part of the global food and consumer products supply chain .
