Overview

We are seeking a Bilingual Forklift Operator specializing in Cherry Picker or Reach Truck operations to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient materials handling, order fulfillment, and inventory management within a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong forklift skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages to support diverse team operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to warehouse productivity while maintaining safety and operational excellence.

Duties

• Operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, and other heavy equipment such as clamp trucks and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking with precision using various equipment including pickers and pallet jacks to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Support warehouse management system (WMS) data entry for inventory tracking, order processing, and stock replenishment.
• Handle materials with care, adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow processes.
• Participate in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock organization to maintain accurate warehouse records.

Skills

• Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
• Excellent physical strength for heavy lifting and materials handling tasks.
• Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately.
• Effective communication skills in multiple languages to facilitate teamwork across diverse groups.
• Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, and warehouse distribution operations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining safety standards. This position is integral to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive warehouse environment.
