Worship Leader

Greetings candidate! Alexander Baptist Church is located in the Western Branch area of Chesapeake, Virginia. We are a theologically conservative church that utilizes expository preaching. We currently have 3 full-time Pastors, along with a part-time Choir Director. Our Senior Pastor has been here for over 15 years. We have one Sunday morning worship that is blended, enjoying theologically correct worship songs from the past and present. We have a praise team consisting of piano, keyboard, drums, guitars, and other instruments. We are looking for a part-time worship leader to lead worship on Sunday mornings, along with some Sunday evenings throughout the year. The worship leader is responsible for coordinating and leading worship under the direction of the Senior Pastor. The worship leader will work with the Pastors and Choir Director in planning and preparing for worship services. The worship leader should have a love for the Lord and His Word. We desire to have someone with experience, though we are open to a mentoring relationship as well. We are prayerfully seeking God's will for this position.
