About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Experience in EPIC and Cerner Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employ independent judgment in providing care. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze the assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implement the plan and coordinate care delivery. Employ strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Commit to the safety and wellbeing of all associates and patients.
