The Department of Philosophy at Smith College invites applications for the position of Lecturer, to begin July 1, 2026. This is a full‑time, non‑renewable one‑year appointment with a teaching load of five courses over two semesters. AOS: Open. AOC: Philosophy of Mind. A Ph.D. in Philosophy is expected by the time of appointment. Candidates from groups underrepresented in Philosophy are encouraged to apply. Location: Northampton, MA. Smith College is the largest women’s college in the United States, dedicated to excellence in teaching and research across the liberal arts.
