Forklift Operator 2nd Shift

The Royal Group , a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking a Forklift Operator to support our Addison, IL facility. The Forklift Operator is responsible for all activities associated with running the machine including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommendation of improvements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Process orders in the Company system (Amtech and Commerce) entering accurately order numbers, quantity, and destination.
• Print out shipping documents, verifying special shipping instructions and shipping charges
• Maintains healthy inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods on stock
• Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base
• Responsible for unloading work in Process Sheets, storing or feeding product into the machine
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow of the plant
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Other duties as assigned to business demands

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a high school education
• One year of manufactory-related experience in shipping and receiving
• High School diploma or GED

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Professional Certificate or some college education in a related field
• Experience in shipping and receiving in a packaging industry
• Experience with Amtech and Commerce

REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)

• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
• A valid forklift truck operator certification
• Knowledge of warehouse software programs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a regular office environment with climate control. Occasionally exposed to the warehouse area that is not climate control. The noise level in the warehouse area is usually loud.
